We're so happy to welcome Heather Mitchell to the team!
We were bowled over by Heather’s gorgeous makes and her passion for card making. An experienced crafter, Heather loves to layer papers, add textures and use inks to create a distressed shabby chic style. She adores using dies in her makes, and then embellishing each element to really bring them to life and create something truly unique. You've probably spotted some of her makes in PaperCrafter Magazine before, but never like this...
So what did you think to the range?
Heather: "I loved the Kori Kumi range from Santoro as soon as I saw it! The colours are fabulous and the stamped images more delicate and detailed than I’m used to and it’s a real treat to work with. The papers are perfect for layering up as they all co-ordinate beautifully but I do love the accessories as they are what finishes your makes off and the Kori Kumi ones are so cute!"
Heather: "For my first DT make, I used the Decoupage Pack and mirrored the flower shaped aperture on the inside of the packaging to add interest. The leaf ribbons and the apple buttons are so so pretty I thought I’d sew them together using the pom-poms to make them really stand out. Highlighting the edge of the fluffy clouds and the branch with glitter glue really finishes the card off."
We simply ADORE what Heather has done with this An Apple A Day card. the apple buttons look adorable on the leaf ribbon and really add that something extra special to the design.
Gifts With Heart - How special would you feel if you received this sweet make!
