Say hello to Kayla Moss! Our newest DT member!

October 30, 2016

We're SO happy to introduce Kayla Moss to you all!

Kayla has been an avid crafter for the last six years, has been published in top magazines and spends her free time making handmade cards, invitations, gift tags and everything in-between!

She enjoys experimenting with a wide range of materials, tools and techniques.

"I am always on the look out for goodies to add to my ever growing stash, to give my creations that little bit extra!" said Kayla.

So of course we just had to send Kayla the gorgeous Santoro Kori Kumi collection to have a play with!

Kori Kumi Project One:

She particularly enjoys papercraft, as the possibilities of the finished product are endless.

"I am always interested in seeing how other crafters have used identical materials to myself, but have a completely different end result. Over the years I feel that I have found my own creative style and take pride in each and every one of my projects" said Kayla.

"For my first project I made a simple shaker card. I die cut a heart in the centre and then put one of the decoupage images in the background, and covered it with a sheet acetate adding a small amount of iridescent glitter for the shaker element. I then built up the rest of the decopage on the outside of the actetate. I added a small sentiment in the corner with resisn flowers."

Kori Kumi Project two:

"I decided to make a door hanger because years ago I bought a set where you could decorate a door hanger with different embellishments, ribbons and papers etc. My Dad took the measurements and kindly cut some out of wood for me so I could make some more. Unfortunately they they have been sat in a cupboard unused for years so I thought it would be a good opportunity to get them out and use them.

Firsty I decoupaged the hanger and then I decorated it using the alphabet flags and an image from the 3D decoupage set. I finshed it off using the Raffa string and heart stick pins."

What a lovely idea to personalise a craft room! Perfect for a bedroom door too!
